SEATTLE — There's a decent chance that Seattle's heat wave will make history Saturday. The National Weather Service is predicting a high temperature of 88 degrees, which would smash the city's record for May 13, which was 85 in 2018. Sunday could also set a record, given that the NWS is expecting a high of 89. The hottest May 14 on record for Seattle was 88 degrees, again in 2018. 'Today and tomorrow are going to be very warm by western Washington standards,' with temps expected to climb even higher south of Seattle, Carly Kovacik, a meteorologist with the NWS in Seattle, said Saturday.
