Michigan State failed their first tough test of the 2022 season with a disappointing loss at Washington on Saturday night. The Spartans fell into a hole early and were never able to climb back out, falling to the Huskies, 39-28. The final score wasn't as close as the game truly was with Michigan State scoring the final two touchdowns to make it a two-possession final score. Former Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Michael Penix Jr. shredded the Spartans secondary with 397 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday for the Huskies.
